Got a call from some bloke claiming he worked for a marketing firm trying to help block spam calls. First thing he asks is if I’m (my bname), then rattles off my address like he knows me. After that, he starts talking about my phone bill being paid by card and says it was due to expire in 2019, asking me to confirm my bank details. I just told him to jog on straight away.

Got a call from some foreign bloke talking about nuisance calls. Ironically, it turned out to be one of those annoying calls himself. When I tried to ring back, the number was blocked by something called skytalk shield. They asked for my name and to press the hash key or something - no chance I’m doing that!

Had my phone ring with loads of noise in the background, sounded like a busy office. A lady with a foreign accent asked if I was Mrs T (which I am), I asked who was calling and she just ended the call straight away. Very strange!

Called a few times asking for a Mr. Sumner, who must’ve lived here before. Usually get these kinds of calls from people with a foreign accent. I’ve put the number on my block list now.
