They rang my phone, but when I tried calling them back, they just didn’t pick up. Totally a scam.

I keep getting calls on my landline but whenever I answer, there's no one talking. It’s so frustrating! I’m looking for a way to block these numbers. Does anyone know how to do that? Would appreciate some help!

I got a call from some Indian call centre! They keep switching numbers all the time. I've blocked every single one and even reported them to Action Fraud. Totally dodgy!

A chap got in touch claiming my Microsoft was on the fritz and he could apparently see it’s been playing up for the last couple of months. He insisted an update was necessary. I tried to explain that I keep my PC secure and perform daily checks, but he abruptly hung up on me.

Had yet another call from a so-called "Microsoft" bloke trying his usual scam. Normally, I mess around and kill some time, but after getting the same rubbish three times today, I lost my patience. Told him to find a proper job and threw in a couple of choice words - one about s#### and the other about going far away!

Got a call from an Asian guy who just cut off as soon as I asked why he wanted to know if I was the primary user of my laptop. Honestly, I should've played along and kept him talking longer, maybe stopping him from moving onto someone more vulnerable who might actually fall for his scam.

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent saying something about my computer. When I asked why she was ringing me about it, she just dropped the call. I tried calling the number back but it said the number was invalid or something. Definitely looks like a scam to me.

Just like the one mentioned below, this so-called Microsoft guy was asking if he was calling everybody. He said yes, so I told him it’d take them ages to get through everyone. Asked why Microsoft doesn’t just sort it out on their own automatically. Stayed on the line as long as possible just to keep him busy and stop him from trying to scam someone else.

This number rang me earlier but I just let it go to voicemail.

I got a call from a bloke who sounded Asian, saying he was from the tech support place for my computer. I asked him a couple of times to tell me the company name, but he didn’t want to say and ended up acting a bit rude before just chopping me off.

I got put through to a bloke with an Asian accent who claimed there was a problem with my computer. He asked me to log in, but I said no. After that, he got quite annoyed and kept insisting I follow his directions. He couldn’t provide any proof that the call was legit, which made me suspicious.

Got put through to some bloke with an Asian accent who was going on about issues with my PC and wanted me to log on. I said no, and he quickly got all annoyed and kept pushing me to do it. Couldn’t get a single proof from him that the call was genuine. Definitely suspicious.

Got a call from some woman with a foreign accent claiming to be from Global Solutions, saying there was an issue with my computer. I just told her to get lost and find a real job instead of ripping people off.

I just received a dodgy call from some chancer claiming I've got files on my computer that are apparently unnecessary. The truth is, I don’t have anything of the sort! I told him straight to clear off and not bother me again.

Got a call out of the blue, and as soon as I picked up, the caller just hung up. No chance to find out what they wanted, but it sounded sketchy.

Got a call from some so-called Microsoft support, just like those scams you see in videos from call centres in India on YouTube. I tried to keep them hanging on the line for a bit, but these days they seem to be better at spotting if you're faking it or not.

Got a call from a guy who sounded Asian, saying my computer was hacked and all my info stolen. I told him to send me an email to prove it was real, then I hung up. Not long after, my husband picked up a call from 01515271947. Turned out it was the same bloke! When my husband asked for more details, he just ended the call. The first call came from a place in Scotland called Penicuik, but the second showed a Liverpool area code. Either this guy’s got some crazy teleportation skills or he’s a total scammer. Both numbers are now blocked and reported.

I got a call on my home phone from a guy who said his name was Roger, sounded Asian. He told me there was something wrong with my computer and that there were weird links on it. It was pretty clear to me that it was some kind of scam to either hack into my stuff or take over my PC.
