Received a call from Legal and General, what a load of nonsense!

Got a call from some debt advice lot, and honestly, they were nasty and really horrible, even told me to just drop dead. Completely unacceptable behaviour.

Absolutely avoid any interaction! I received a call purporting to be from Citizens Advice, claiming there was a government initiative to help eliminate debts. When I inquired about how they acquired my information, they refused to divulge anything. Once I expressed my disinterest, the chap on the other end became quite irate and insisted I provide an explanation for my lack of interest. At that juncture, I told him to clear off and promptly blocked the number.

So this bloke, calling himself "Mark" and sounding like he was from Asia, rings me up. Can't work it out why. I mentioned I was feeling really down, struggling with my debts, and then he just dropped the call! Just when I was about to explain more too. Unbelievable!

This number has been ringing me non-stop for about five days now, but after reading what others said, I’ve just started ignoring 01968620276.

I kept asking them what company they were from but all they said was something about Virtual Credit Card. Felt pretty dodgy to me, so I told them it sounded like a scam and they just stopped calling.

They said they were from Citizens Advice but ended up telling me to f### off and die, then went on about hoping my mum, dad and the rest of my family would croak. Proper horrible.

I had a bit of a conversation with this bloke who insisted I had some outstanding debts. I firmly told him I didn’t, and he bizarrely followed up with, “Are you quite certain?”

I received a call from someone who seemed to know my name, though I didn't acknowledge it. When I inquired about their identity, they mentioned they were from the so-called Credit Investigations Department. I informed them that I have no relationship with their organisation, and abruptly, the call ended. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I received a call from a woman with a pronounced Indian accent, claiming to be from the Citizens Advice Bureau. She mentioned that my details were marked due to some financial struggles. I decided to play along, expressing empathy for her situation, pointing out how unfortunate it was that scammers were tarnishing the reputation of Indian individuals. I also lamented about how despicable it was for these fraudsters to prey on those in genuine need, like the ones the CAB aims to support. I spun an elaborate tale about my overwhelming debt situation and how my three children and I were facing eviction. To my surprise, after a full six minutes of this dramatic exchange, she abruptly hung up without a word. I was really getting into my narrative by that point!

Someone rang me up claiming I was drowning in debt, and I found it rather amusing when I replied, "Oh really?" I ended the call, only for them to call back saying their team was outside my house. Funny thing was, I was just parked in my car on my own driveway at that moment! What a laugh!

I received a particularly vile phone call from a truly unpleasant person who rudely instructed me to perform an unspeakable act on myself. When I inquired about their identity, the response was laced with profanity and disdain, referring to me in a derogatory manner. It's absolutely outrageous behaviour! I've taken the matter into my own hands and reported this incident to Ofcom for necessary action.

I've just received a similar one today and mentioned the exact thing.

Claimed to be from a citizens' advice bureau, but turned aggressive and started hurling abuse when I expressed disinterest and requested no further calls.

I received a call on my mobile from a woman of Asian descent who seemed to know my name straight away, even though I hadn’t disclosed it. When I inquired who was ringing, she refused to provide her identity and launched into a spiel about some legal debts I supposedly had. I promptly insisted that I didn't owe anything and accused them of trying to scam me, at which point they promptly hung up. Out of curiosity, I thought about ringing them back-though I know it's usually a bad idea. An automated voice on the line claimed to be from a company that sounded like GFK Limited. Considering the woman mentioned debt, it's led me to conclude that they’re likely a debt collection agency. When the recorded message prompted me to press 1 for a callback, it followed up with instructions to leave my contact details, but then promptly informed me the mailbox was full. Further, it offered me the option to stop further calls by pressing 5, which I did, only to be told that wasn't a valid option either. So, naturally, the message repeated itself. At one point, I thought the automated voice said GSK Ltd, but that's clearly a medical entity, so I dismissed that idea. After a bit of digging, it seemed like it might have been GXK Limited I heard, but they’re a recently dissolved global data firm, making them an unlikely culprit. Ultimately, it seems I’m left with the assumption that it was indeed GFK Limited. It’s curious how these callers rush through their names or company details to avoid you catching them or making a note. Quite the dodgy lot, honestly!

Got a call about debt management from someone named Gareth who sounded like he was from India. If he’d gone with a name more like Prasad, maybe I would’ve given him a chance!

Somebody called me about owing money, but when I asked for details, they just cut the line.

I saw I had a missed call from this number on my phone but no voicemail or anything. Also, a number that looks almost the same rung me up not long ago, maybe it's the same telemarketer? I'm not gonna ring them back though cause I ain't sure who they are - could just be some automated call figuring out if my mobile connects.

They insisted that I was in £5000 worth of credit card debt, which I was certain was a complete fabrication. When I expressed my disinterest in their offer, the caller persistently tried to spin it, coming up with all sorts of stories about my supposed financial troubles. It was quite tiresome!

I received a call regarding some so-called unsecured debt that I apparently owe. When I informed the caller that I had no debts at all, he erupted into a tirade of foul language and insults before abruptly cutting the line. I'm absolutely livid that someone would have the audacity to ring my phone and talk to me like that.

What a charmer! The person hurled a barrage of swear words and outrageous threats once I labelled them a con artist. Quite entertaining, honestly. If I'm ever feeling low, I'd consider giving them another ring for a good laugh!

I provided the name I commonly use for competitions, so it was evident this was a scam. The caller claimed I had a substantial debt, which is utterly untrue as I steer clear of loans and credit altogether. They insisted they had looked into the matter and that I owed a fortune, yet they didn't even have my actual name, making their claims completely ludicrous.
