5 yearsSomeone rang up claiming to be from the washing machine maintenance crew, saying they could switch me to a better service plan if I just confirmed my card details. I asked for my plan reference number while she was trying to sort things, and she quickly backtracked, saying she’d post the info instead, then vanished.5 yearsI received a call on my mobile, and the person on the other end claimed I qualified for a two-year deal regarding my washing machine cover, which would save me a delightful £70 for complimentary parts, repairs, and even replacements. When I mentioned that my insurance wasn't with her company, she insisted she was representing "the engineers." Oddly enough, she had a wealth of personal information at her disposal-my name, address, postcode, the amount I was currently debiting, and even the first four digits of my bank card. Then, she requested that I verify the rest of my card details to secure this supposedly fantastic deal. When I expressed my discomfort with divulging such sensitive information over the phone, she mentioned someone from their payments department would ring me back to confirm, along with my bank. I asked if they could send the details to my address, stating that I’d prefer to reach out if I was keen on the offer. She abruptly replied that was not an option as the deal hadn't been finalised. Despite my insistence that I was not willing to continue our conversation through the phone, I reiterated my intention to stick with my higher payments. The call ended quite curtly on her part.5 yearsBeware of those dodgy folks peddling home appliance insurance! They're nothing more than con artists trying to swindle you out of your hard-earned cash.5 yearsI keep getting calls from this number 01967584002 almost every day, like 5 or 6 times a week. One time they talked about tech stuff for my TV, then it switched to white goods, and another time it was about a washing machine. It's really starting to annoy me now.5 yearsI just want to point out that I haven’t made any claims about my washing machine - I only got it fixed recently.5 yearsCan someone tell me who rang on my home phone?Submit Your Own Report (01967 584002)
