Got a call from 02059240265 but didn’t pick up since the number was unfamiliar. Looked it up online and it looks like a scam. Funny thing is, I’ve also been receiving dodgy emails pretending to be from ‘Microsoft team’ lately. Not sure what the best move is now. Maybe I should do a full factory reset on my phone, update my antivirus and malware apps, and definitely change my email password - might even have to get a new email altogether. Changing my phone number could be the next step too.

I’ve been reporting 02058651761 on different sites but my comments keep showing up under other numbers. Got a scam text from a withheld number earlier today and then got these same scammers ringing this afternoon. Looks like they’re linked. I really think everyone on these pages should also report this to Action Fraud, since phishing tries like this are taken seriously and they’re definitely doing that.

Got a call at 8:08 this morning from a woman with an Asian accent, could hear loads of noise in the background, claiming she was from BT Technical Support. Told her "you're not," and she just ended the call.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he was from UK Home Surveys. Turned nasty when I questioned him. Seems like this number is just a masked internet call coming from India or Bangladesh. I’ve reported it to the ICO. They could easily block these numbers to put an end to this. It would stop the UK hosting company profiting from it and hopefully kill this scam. The ICO really needs to clamp down harder on foreign calls pretending to be UK numbers.

Got a call claiming to be from BT about some internet issue and that I had to switch on my computer. Funny thing is, I’m with Virgin Media. Pretty obvious it was a scam, they really should have their number blocked.

I received a call from someone who claimed to be from BT, informing me that my phone line was hacked by an individual in Canada. However, when questioned further about his location, he claimed to be calling from a deli. To add legitimacy, he provided me with a phone number, stating it belonged to BT: 02081331851. This bloke with an accent I couldn’t place claimed to be from tps, said he was ringing about all the marketing calls I’ve been getting, asked if that was true, I said no, and then he just told me to f### off.

Missed the call as I didn’t pick up quickly enough, and since the number was unfamiliar I looked it up online and found this site. Cheers for the info, I’ll be letting BT know. Yesterday I had a call from an 0207 number with someone claiming to be from BT saying there was an issue with my internet. Already reported that one to BT too, though I can’t remember the full number now. Thanks again & have a great New Year!

Earlier today, a gentleman called claiming to be from BT. He informed me that they had been conducting routine checks for the past few weeks and discovered that my router connection was not performing optimally. We have been receiving bothersome calls from a women of Asian descent, who insists that she is pregnant and wishes to reside at our residence. Intriguingly, she is aware of our family name, and the calls have been persistently recurring.

Received a malicious spam call with the intention of deceiving. The caller falsely claimed there were issues with my BT connection. When I asked for proof, they immediately terminated the call. Got a call early this morning from an asian woman claiming to be from BT Internet, saying our internet would be cut off for two months. We don’t even deal with BT directly. After she asked for ten minutes to check some errors I realised she was trying to scam us for money. Told her she was a fraud and hung up. At 10:03 AM, we received a phone call claiming to be from BT. The caller informed us that there was an issue with our Family & Friends list and suggested that in order to resolve it, our internet connection would need to be disconnected for a period of 30 days. However, upon questioning the legitimacy of the call, as we do not have an account with BT, the call was abruptly ended.

A bloke with an Asian accent rang me claiming he was from the telephone preference service and that my protection with them was about to run out. He told me TPS only blocks calls from the UK and from ‘tomorrow you’ll get loads of calls from overseas.’ I asked what he was actually selling and he said ‘nothing’. He just kept going on about the ‘cover ending soon’. Eventually I got fed up and hung up. He rang straight back and repeated the same spiel. I hung up again and blocked the number through my internet provider’s security features.

Some bloke with a foreign accent called me, saying he was in a dept that deals with nuisance calls and asked if i’d had any. I said no, but he kept repeating the same question. I ended the call but he phoned back. I didn’t answer, then he tried ringing from another 0207 number, asking why I’d hung up. I just hung up again.
