Today I got three calls from someone pretending to be my internet provider, saying my connection would be cut off because of supposed "illegal actions." They told me to press 1 or else I'd lose service. Total scam.

Last week, I got a call supposedly from BT telling me my line was about to get disconnected, just like others have mentioned here. Today, a different scam came through claiming to block my number and then asking for my card information - absolutely no chance I fell for that. I've already reported this to my phone company. Honestly, these scams need to be stopped somehow!

My nan, who's 81, got a call saying there was an issue with her BT service and her computer. They told her they had to cut off her BT line for three weeks because some hacker was trying to get into her tablet. They even asked her to switch on her computer so they could disconnect her from it or something... absolute muppets!
