He kept telling me my account was wiped clean and that he was with some fraud investigation team because apparently someone had accessed my account without permission. He wanted me to install the crypto.com onchain wallet, saying my account would be put on hold while they looked into it, and that my funds would be moved there temporarily. Something felt off, so I rang up crypto.com myself and they told me they never call customers, only get in touch via email.8 monthsToday I got a call from this number, and the person said they were from Crypto.com warning me about an attempt to break into my account. I rang Crypto.com myself, and they told me they never phone customers, so it wasn’t them. The caller said someone else would ring me back in five minutes. Instead, I got a different call around an hour later. When I told that caller I knew it was a scam, they just hung up. This time it came from a different number: 020 82434539.
