They keep ringing me up, asking if they can get into my computer.

Everytime they call, it’s with a new phone number. They’ll say there’s a problem with your internet or your router from your provider. Then they tell you to download some app which supposedly scans for viruses using info from sites you’ve visited. After that, they try to trick you into logging into your online banking to grab big loans without your permission. Seriously, don’t ever let anyone get control of your PC - just end the call straight away!

They keep ringing, asking for my husband by his name. When I ask who’s calling, they just put the phone down. Really annoying, especially when I’m expecting an important call - otherwise I wouldn’t even bother picking up.

They said it was about some IT thing or whatever. I told them I wasn’t interested and then they went on about calling me back twice daily. Seriously, that’s a bit much! Lucky they didn’t block their number, so I've already reported them to Ofcom. Not very smart, if you ask me!

I really don’t understand why the government isn’t cracking down on this nonsense. My elderly mum and dad are in their 70s and 80s, and they’re constantly getting hassled by these calls. They barely touch computers, but we’ve got one here for me, my sister, and the kids to use. So far, we’ve advised them to just politely tell the caller to leave them alone, and thankfully they’ve kept to that. Still, me and my sister have to keep an eye on it because these scammers keep coming up with new tricks to scare the older generation. It feels like such a form of exploitation. Honestly, in this day and age where we’re sending robots to Mars, surely the telcos could just block these calls at the source? Problem solved. I just can’t get my head around it. Maybe it’s got something to do with the money these companies make from the scammers using their networks... it’s beyond me.

Got a call earlier from someone who knew a bit about computers, but they didn’t speak English and I couldn’t tell where they were calling from. Honestly, felt like a dodgy call - something to watch out for for sure.

Honestly, I reckon the TPS is just useless. The government putting it together seems like a total waste of cash and effort. Neither really does much good. Those callers should be hit with fines for every single ring they make. And for goodness sake, don't ever let them access your computer - they'll sneak in some malware and then demand a ransom to get rid of it. Just a heads up!

I got a call from someone saying there was an issue with my computer, and it freaked me out that they actually knew my name and where I live. I didn’t share any details and just hung up straight away.

For the last few mornings around 8.30 or 9, I've been getting calls from this number. When I pick up, there's just silence, typical of those annoying scam calls, so I just end up hanging up. It’s really worrying because I’ve heard stories of folks getting tricked and these scammers managing to get access to their computers. I reckon they're trying to fish for bank info or something like that. These calls need to be blocked or stopped somehow.

Got a call a moment ago, and as usual, there was total quiet on the other end, so I just ended it. These scam callers are really getting on my nerves. Whenever I get a number I don’t know, I look it up on Google first. Now I just save those numbers under ‘Ignore’ - they usually give up pretty quickly after that.

So, this morning I got a call from someone with an Indian accent saying it was about my computer issue. I wasn’t expecting the call and didn’t go near my PC. The company they mentioned was Easy Techy, account number 0082453, phone 08000163909. I’ve been having some problems with my computer lately, but how did this person know about it? Feels like it might be a scam trying to pull a fast one. I didn’t catch the guy’s name either. Can someone please check into this company for me?

Got a call from some woman claiming to be from ‘IT support’. She told me my computer was working really slow and asked if I was using it right then. I just ended the call straight away.

These lot have rung me up a few times now. I’ve got quite a few PCs at home, and when I asked which one they were talking about, they just kept saying it was the Windows one! Eventually, I gave up and hung up. The bloke on the phone was making it sound all urgent, saying he was from “Windows” and that my computer had a virus because of loads of errors appearing. I wasn’t fooled, but I reckon someone older or less savvy with tech might easily be tricked. Just got another call from them today - but this time there was silence on the other end, and when I tried to ring them back, it just said the number’s unreachable. These scammers really ought to be stopped, surely BT or whoever can do something about it?

Got a call from this number just now. I picked up and a guy with an Indian accent said my computer had a virus and he could fix it. He asked me to press some button, but I didn’t catch what it was the first time so I asked him to repeat it. Then he told me to press the "blah blah" button or something like that. When I said I couldn’t see which button he meant, he snapped, asking if I was blind. I told him no, but my vision isn’t perfect. Then he just said it didn’t matter and hung up on me. Pretty obvious scam trying to get info… stay wary!
