It’s a right nuisance, isn’t it? Wakes you up at the crack of dawn with no one on the other end...

Got a call from someone saying they were Abraham at Microsoft, something about my PC. It was just after 8:30 in the morning. I clicked off straight away once I figured it was a dodgy call. Might’ve been fun to tell him I run Lubuntu though!

I got a call from someone pretending to be Microsoft, telling me my PC was infected and had damaged files. I work in IT, so I just played along to keep him hanging. He had me run all sorts of harmless commands, but then he tried to get me to type something that looked like an IP address from somewhere in Africa, maybe Gabon, into the command prompt. I refused, and he quickly lost his temper. This guy was definitely up to no good and seems pretty risky to deal with.

I got a call from a woman claiming to be from Microsoft in Reading, telling me hackers had been using my account for illegal stuff. She wanted me to get on my computer straight away. I told her I was still in bed, and she said she'd wait while I got up to use the computer. After I kept saying no, she said she’d call back in an hour. This is definitely a scam to try and steal info from your computer. Microsoft never calls customers like this, so watch out!

Someone just rang me from this number, but when I picked up, dead silence. I heard somewhere that these calls go to loads of people at the same time, and the caller chats with whoever picks up first.

Just got a call from 01963220409 a short while back. My phone automatically stopped the call since the number wasn’t recognised or saved in my contacts. I didn’t get to talk to anyone, so can’t say what the call was about. If anyone else has answers or shared what happened when they answered, I’d appreciate hearing about it. Cheers!

Got another scam call this morning, some bloke claiming Microsoft wiped my IP address or something daft. First off, ringing before 8 o'clock really grinds my gears, and to top it off, I was just on the loo when they called. I've blocked the number now, but annoyingly it's from the same area code as before.

Got a call really early, before 8am, some guy claiming he was from Windows. I just ended the call straight away since I had a similar one before, supposedly from Microsoft, probably trying to hack into my computer. Be careful with calls from numbers you don’t recognise - I once accidentally called back and got charged £6 just for being connected a few seconds! It’s tricky avoiding these calls especially when you’ve applied for jobs and are waiting on replies. Just sharing this so others don’t fall into the same trap.

some bloke called saying he was from microsoft and kept pushing me to talk to him. i was like since when does microsoft even care about little old me? he kept going on, asking why i wouldn’t chat with him. then he started swearing and just slammed the phone down. i always thought microsoft was more about helping people and doing good stuff, not bothering random folks like this.

They keep ringing up saying they're from Microsoft, but it takes forever before anyone actually talks. I'm pretty sure it’s a scam call. They keep pestering us, so I just avoid answering their questions. The voices are really faint, and to me, it feels like one of those dodgy scams.
