Somebody called me claiming to be from Openreach internet, saying they handle tech issues for BT. They told me there was a fault on their server. I told them I’m not a BT customer, but they insisted that BT also covers Sky, Virgin, TalkTalk, and my provider too. I’m sure that’s rubbish! They kept going on about only checking the main server and said they didn’t want any money, just asked me to check the lights on my router. When I said I’d prefer to contact my provider myself, they just hung up. I rang my provider afterwards and they said there’s no problem - so just another scam attempt.
