Got a call from someone who sounded asian a little while back, claiming to be from BT. Said my internet was hacked or something and to fix it, he needed access to my laptop. I wasn’t having any of it, told him I don’t trust random phone calls like that and just ended it straight away.

Got a call from a woman who sounded foreign, maybe Indian, claiming she was with BT's tech support. She told me hackers were using my broadband and that it would be disconnected today. I got suspicious straight away and asked where exactly the BT office she was calling from was located. She said London and gave me an address. When I asked her to spell it out, the line just cut off.

Got calls two days running from some bloke claiming to be with BT. He sounded like he was struggling to get his words out, like a youngster from abroad trying to speak English for the first time. The phone line was awful, making it really hard to understand him. When I asked if he could prove he was really from BT, he just ended the call straight away. Definitely not genuine.
