Got a call with a recorded voice claiming to be BT, warning me that my broadband would be disconnected because someone close by is trying to hack it. Totally a scam, and I can only imagine how upsetting this would be for older folks who might not be so tech-aware, worrying about this so-called 'nearby person'. Proper creepy stuff. I’ve blocked the number straight away.
