I got a call from someone with a pretty thick accent, sounded a bit like Indian, saying he was from Google Internet Security. He told me my internet licence was at risk and that hackers were using my account for dodgy stuff, saying I should turn on my computer and all that. I just hung up and used 1572 to block the number. But no sooner had I done that, he rang back from another number. I asked him where he was based, and he said California but couldn’t provide any actual office address. I ended the call and blocked that number too. This kept happening over and over with different numbers, like 01887221495, 01962854353, 01495272877, 01962856666, and 0175291103. It’s obvious they’re using a bunch of cloned numbers so when you block one, another pops up straight away.
