Got a call from someone claiming to be with Virgin Media. He said they'd spotted issues with my internet dropping out and asked if I'd noticed the connection going on and off. I told him no, cos I could tell straight away it was a scam. Then he started going on about showing me exactly where the fault was, right in front of me, apparently. Said all I had to do was grab my mobile phone since he rang my landline. His number even had the same local area code as me, which made it sound more legit. Once I told him I wasn’t daft and to do one, he just hung up.
