I got a call from a Winchester area code number, and an American robotic voice said they were from BT. Thing is, I’m not even a BT customer, so it felt fishy straight away. The message said my IP address was at risk in multiple countries and told me to ring a number they just rattled off too quickly for me to catch. Then they told me to hit 1 on my phone. Definitely sounded like one of those scams trying to hack into my computer and cause trouble. I’ve blocked the number now.
