Got a call from 01958 840536 claiming to be Total Gas & Power, asking for info from my electricity meter. I told them to send an email since they supposedly have my email or to give me a number I could call back on, but they couldn't provide either. Felt pretty sketchy and just annoying!

I got a call from 01958549389 and when I picked up, all I heard was a woman with a strange accent just say “hello” on my voicemail, then she ended the call.

I looked up 01958 and it turns out it’s not even a valid area code, means it’s a spoofed number for sure. Sounds like a total scam to me. I honestly don’t get why phone companies don’t just block these or at least route them to some super pricey line - say £5 a minute - to stop these dodgy calls.

Typical Indian accent, as usual, couldn't even get my name right. The moment I threw a question his way, he just ended the call. Bet I'll be getting one of those quiet calls later on just to wind me up some more.

got a call from 01958 549 389 today, just another scammer i reckon. they were asking about my mum, but shes passed away. i told them i’m on the tps list and i’d be reporting the call. such a hassle!
