I just got a call from this number, and it was a man with an Indian accent claiming to be from TalkTalk. He said there was a problem with my internet. When I told him I don’t even have TalkTalk as my provider, he then tried saying he worked for BT, Sky, and Virgin as well, none of which I use. The bloke was quite rude, and I can imagine an elderly person might find it quite scary. I ended up arguing with him for about five minutes because he wouldn’t accept that I wasn’t with any of those companies. Eventually, I told him I knew it was a scam, and he hung up abruptly.

Getting calls like this all the time - they keep switching up the numbers each day. I’ve already blocked this one and make sure to block the rest too. Best thing is to use caller ID and don’t pick up if the number’s not familiar. Usually, these calls are automated just to see if you’re there. If you pick up but no one talks, expect they might ring back later, sometimes from the same number or a different one, trying to trick you. Definitely steer clear of these calls.

They ring us pretty much every day, and the voice sounds like it's from India. Once we catch that, we hang up super quick, like within 2 seconds. I reckon we haven’t missed anything important doing it this way since only a handful of people actually call us for real.

I got calls from Benefits United Kingdom like 3 times just last week, all with someone speaking in an Indian accent. I hung up straight away but they kept ringing. Proper annoying and stubborn scammers if you ask me.

A woman with an Indian accent rang me saying she was from BENEFITS UK and gave her name as LISA, promising it would only take a minute. I replied that if she was really LISA, then I was GUPTA McTAVISH. She didn't believe me, so I said SNAP, which clearly upset her because she hung up straight away. I love that since they’re calling from abroad and ignoring the TPS list, you can be cheeky or even a bit rude and there’s nothing they can do. Honestly, I was nearly about to ask her to marry me so she could get a visa to the UK!

We got a call from this number that really caught us off guard. Within just a few minutes, the guy was rattling off loads of personal stuff about our family, including what services we had and how we paid for them! My husband kept trying to question him, but the bloke just ignored it and kept talking over him, so eventually my husband had to just hang up. He didn’t agree to anything, but it was pretty unnerving all the same.

My elderly mate, who’s 80, got bombarded with calls on the 17th Sept 2018. She does have caller ID, and after finally picking up, the bloke went on about verifying the expiry date of her credit card. She said no and he was quite unpleasant. The following day he rang again but she wasn't home. It seemed like a robo-dialler was being used, 'cos he didn’t realise it was an answerphone and was yelling her name out loud.

Then she wanted my bank or credit card expiry date. When I asked why she needed it, she just dropped the call. Seemed dodgy to me.

When i asked for their company address, he got all defensive and asked why i needed it. told him it was to verify their info and suddenly he got all worked up. he wouldn’t give any more info and ended the call with a rude "f### you l". proper idiot!

You'd be astonished by the responses, as these are often nothing but fraudsters out to snatch your personal details. It's crucial not to concede to anything or inadvertently agree; just persistently ask for that company registration or VAT number. You'll find they can become quite irate and end up hanging up on you!

I couldn't quite make sense of what the woman was on about when she mentioned something regarding blocking nuisance calls on my landline. In the end, I decided to hang up.

They rang a couple times within like 15 mins but no one said a word when I picked up, and you can't even ring back the number. Then this cheeky bloke with an Indian accent told me to just get on with it when I warned him to stop or I'd report them! Bit worrying cos it’s an older person with Alzheimer’s at that address, thank goodness she never answered. Had to get the council involved to fit some sort of blocker box to stop these calls, but now we’re stuck waiting about two weeks for it to be done.

Had my phone ring 4 times today, didn’t pick up any of them. The last caller said they were from “TPS Partner” or something like “TPM” which they said stands for Telephone Preference Management. Sounds like just another dodgy scam to me.

Today alone, I've received a staggering four calls from this number and a couple of its mates, not to mention a similar nuisance yesterday. They claim to be from HSBC, supposedly wanting to validate my banking information! Every single time they ring, I promptly block them, yet it seems futile as they still manage to intrude. I've even registered with my service provider to opt out of unsolicited calls, but it appears that my efforts are in vain. How on earth do I put an end to this relentless harassment?
