Received a call earlier today purporting to be from Sky about my broadband connection. The thing is, I don’t even use Sky for my internet! They pressed me to check my router settings, but I wasn’t having any of it. In the end, I just ended the call. Best to steer clear of these sorts!

I've only had my new landline for a mere three weeks since relocating, and just two individuals possess my number. Yet, I've already received two calls from someone purporting to be from Sky. The connection was dreadful, making it nearly impossible to grasp what they were on about, so I kindly asked them to leave me be.

I've received two calls in a span of three days from the number 01954583419. The caller claimed to be representing Sky and mentioned that my broadband speed was sluggish, asking me to get onto my computer. When I expressed my doubts about his identity, he had the cheek to accuse me of wasting his precious time! A total con, if you ask me. Just hang up and save yourself the trouble!

Claimed to be providing open access regarding an issue on my line, and was keen to share the error logs and whatnot. However, things took a turn when they became quite confrontational the moment I began to ask straightforward questions.

Fraud alert! They were trying to get me to enter some stuff into my computer to supposedly demonstrate issues with my internet connection. Clearly not affiliated with Sky, as they couldn’t provide any credible details to back up their claims. Do yourself a favour and steer clear of sharing any personal information with them!

I had a dodgy call today from someone claiming to be from Sky. They wanted me to have a look at the lights on my router and insisted I turn on my computer so they could reveal all the issues I supposedly had. When I asked them for my account number to verify their identity, they couldn’t provide it, so I decided to end the conversation. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I received a call from someone purporting to be from Sky. When I ended the conversation, they promptly rang me back, sounding rather confrontational about my decision to hang up on them, especially at the early hour of 9 am on a Sunday! Quite unexpected, really.
