just got a phone call about filing a compensation claim for an accident i supposedly had recently. i never had any accident, so it feels like it’s probably some sort of scam. quite dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent, said his name was Ricky and claimed to be from some tech support. I told him to jog on straight away. He called again, so I told him to feck off this time. Haven't heard from him since... fingers crossed!

Today, my mum got a random cold call!

This guy from India kept on going with his spiel about how he could fix my computer, so I just listened for a bit and then told him to jog on.

This number called me saying there was an issue with my internet or computer. They kept telling me to press some buttons and stuff. I got a bit nervous but didn’t give them any details. When I said I wasn’t going to do it, the guy sounded annoyed, so I just hung up.

I got a call from a guy with a foreign accent telling me my computer was infected but I wouldn’t even know. When I asked where he got my number and mentioned I’m ex-directory, he just cut the call. Looks like a typical scam to me. It’d be great if they could be stopped and fined properly - I reckon the only way these scammers get the message is when it hits their wallets.

Got a call from this Indian bloke who said his name was Wayne, but his English was shocking. He kept going on about how my computer was messed up and only he could sort it out. You can imagine exactly what I told him.

This number called me and messed up saying my name. When I mentioned it, the person just said sorry and then cut the call. I’ve blocked them now. It’s frustrating because I wish there was some kind of service that could handle these kinds of calls. I contacted Ofcom, but since the caller didn’t say which company they were from, Ofcom said they can’t help. Really annoying situation.
