Today, while my husband was driving us about (Fri 27 Dec), I got a call on my mobile from this number and they left a voicemail. I rang back, thinking it was legit since the dialling code matched Norfolk, where we live. The bloke on the phone didn’t say which company he was from, just gave his name and a parcel tracking number. He claimed they’d tried delivering a signed-for package to our house but no one was in to receive it, so he wanted to sort out a redelivery. The parcel was apparently from somewhere in Marrakesh, from a company named something like Classic. Strange, as I wasn’t expecting anything and hadn’t noted the tracking number. They asked for my postcode and confirmed my address, then we agreed to have the parcel redelivered on Monday. When we got back home though, there was no card or notice left for a delivery. Now I’m left wondering how they got my mobile number in the first place. Feels a bit dodgy - is this some kind of scam?
