Just like the others here, I reported this number along with another that rang me yesterday to the ICO. I generally let the answerphone take it if the number’s unfamiliar - caller ID is a lifesaver! Got a call today about some no fault accident. Honestly, I barely caught anything he said, so I asked him to slow down and speak properly. He snapped at me, asking if I was deaf. I told him his attitude was out of order. Then he went on to call me a daft woman. When I asked which company he was from, he just chuckled and said he wasn’t about to tell me. I just laughed and told him well, cheers for wasting his time and mine, and that he could stick all his claims where the sun doesn’t shine.

Someone rang my dad's phone and I picked up. The bloke claimed he was calling about a crash I'd supposedly been in! I asked him when exactly it was meant to have happened. My husband got a missed call from this number on his mobile, then about ten minutes later it rang our landline too. When I picked up, I could hear a bunch of people chatting like in a busy office, but no one said a thing before hanging up. We only put an ad on Autotrader about an hour before all this happened. I keep receiving calls from this number quite frequently. The callers inquire about some supposed 'incident' and claim to be associated with my insurance firm. The thing is, I haven’t been in any accidents, and my insurance provider has made it clear that they don’t engage third-party services like this. I have a strong feeling that this might be a Skype number and that the callers are likely based overseas.
