I got a couple of calls from the same bloke a few days apart, sounded like he had a northern accent but was calling from a local number. He claimed to be with some motor investigation team regarding an accident they said I was involved in earlier this year - which I definitely wasn’t at fault for or even part of. He told me I might be due some compensation and asked why I’d not made a claim yet. Thing is, I haven’t had any accident this year, and the car he mentioned? I'd sold it last summer. When I said I wasn’t interested, he said he'd ring me again later and then just hung up.
