Someone called saying my broadband was acting up, sometimes slow, sometimes fast. Then they somehow got into my computer and controlled my mouse cursor for about half an hour. Afterwards, they mentioned a company called DirectSave would refund me £340 and asked me to log into my bank so they could send the money. I told them I never share my bank details with strangers online, but they insisted I had to. I refused again, and then they just ended the call, leaving my computer locked up and my cursor stuck off the screen. I couldn’t do anything after that.
