i got my Voip phone working and less than an hour later this number 01952987752 kept ringing me, and somehow it got into my phone settings and set up call forwarding straight to itself. that night loads of calls from both UK and overseas kept being sent its way. i rang my phone company, and they showed me how to block this and other numbers, and said they'd cover any charges. they were shocked it managed to change my call settings like that, but it really did. thankfully, since then it's stopped and i havent had any more strange calls.

Spoke to someone with an Indian accent, didn't quite get the company name. They said they were delivering a free hamper and needed to confirm my name and address. Seems dodgy to me, not a legit offer at all. No clue what they were after since finding out your name and address is pretty easy anyway. Got a call from some bloke named Kevin, seemed like he was from a company called UBenefit or maybe You Benefit, said he wanted to ask a handful of quick questions that wouldn't take long. Yeah right, as if I'd get anything out of it. I told him to quit ringing me, take me off their list, and then just ended the call. Got the same type of call once more, they switch up their numbers all the time. I’ve blocked this one now and will keep blocking any others they use. Always use caller ID and don't pick up if you don’t recognise the number. They usually send automated calls first to see if you pick up. If you do and no one says a word, it’s likely someone will ring back later from that number or another, trying to scam you. Best to just ignore.

Got a call from a bloke with a strong Indian accent claiming he was from some "Tech Support" team linked to BT. Said there was an issue with my internet that needed sorting. I told them I use an Apple Mac, not a PC, and they kept shifting me between different people. Then I lied and said I did have a PC, and they started asking me to open my Google Chrome browser. After about six minutes of faffing about with these annoying lot, I just hung up. What really creeped me out was that they already knew my last name.
