Got a text supposedly from Santander saying some payment needed to be approved and asked me to ring the number (otp something). I’ve never had an account with Santander so I just ignored it like others have mentioned. Definitely looks dodgy to me.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Boots Appliances, supposedly checking up on a delivery. Turns out they weren’t after that at all - they just wanted to push an insurance policy for the item which I hadn’t even got or checked out. Tried to get me to agree to a direct debit straight away. Honestly, watch out for this kind of thing.

This isn’t the first time I’ve gotten calls from a Stoke on Trent number, but when I answer, the person sounds like they’re actually based in Manchester. Pretty sure it’s one of those accident claim companies ringing up.
