I received a rather unsolicited call from a chap attempting to peddle windows and doors. I turned him down flat, as it all felt rather dubious to me. He insisted that he was reaching out because I supposedly expressed interest not long ago. The truth is, I couldn’t recall making any such inquiry at all.

Got a call from some window replacement firm. They claimed their info came from some old computer-generated list and didn’t realise my number was on the TPS. Honestly, if they bothered to check online, they’d have seen straight away it’s protected. Seems like they just didn’t do their homework.

I got a call from a lady who said she was with Webber Windows and mentioned an enquiry I supposedly made a few weeks back. Thing is, I never asked about windows at all. You should definitely file a complaint with the ICO under GDPR. The more complaints they get, the more likely they are to step in. If you check their site, you’ll see they’ve been handing out quite a few fines for annoying calls lately.

They’re trying to keep discounts alive for old customers, but honestly, it just sounds like a sneaky sales tactic. Plus, feels like they’re totally ignoring any sort of data privacy rules or GDPR.
