This number has rung us a few times now, usually a bloke with an odd accent who’s pretty rude and never says what firm they’re from. I leave it to my husband to deal with them since he speaks Welsh, which seems to frustrate them and wastes their time. We've signed up for the no cold calling list, so I’m not sure how these keep getting through. I’m guessing they’re calling from overseas?

Earlier today, I received yet another call from a woman with an accent that seemed rather unfamiliar. She rang yesterday too, claiming to represent the tech department of a company I couldn't quite make out. Apparently, there was some sort of issue with my computer. However, I'm certain there isn't! Does anyone have advice on how to prevent these annoying calls from coming through?

I've had a rather dubious encounter with someone posing as a "Microsoft technician." They attempted to persuade me to sift through my event log to supposedly confirm that my computer was compromised. Quite the sketchy experience!

This number 01952660147 rang me up, and weirdly they knew my name and claimed I'd sent my computer in for repairs. When I questioned them about it, they just cut the call. It's happened on two separate days now. Quite suspicious!

I've had a couple of calls from this number over the past few days. They even used my name and started asking questions about my computer. However, the moment I pushed back a bit, they quickly ended the call. Quite suspicious if you ask me!

Got a call from someone who kept pushing me to visit a certain website but refused to explain what it was all about. Really persistent, but no details given at all.

Got a call from a bloke called Eric, claimed my computer was acting up. I had a right good laugh keeping him waiting while I actually just brewed myself a cuppa. Gotta admit, Eric stuck around patiently. After a while, I told him that I wasn’t after computer repairs, but rather some sort of way to block annoying calls like his on my phone. Oh, and while he’d been hanging about for ages, he hadn’t bothered anyone else. Made me chuckle!

Got a call from some Indian lady on 16th Dec 2014, said my computer had issues - never heard anything about it before. Then she just ended the call. Totally feels like a scam, watch out!

Honestly, those BT 8500 phones with the dog waste technology are a lifesaver for getting rid of all these annoying ringings. I've never regretted getting one. Just so you know, I ain't working for BT or anything.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent saying there was something wrong with my computer. Problem is, I don't even own a computer! I told her she was wasting her breath, but she was determined not to waste my time either. Total scam if you ask me!

Some person with a funny accent called me saying my PC had issues. When I asked where they got my number since it’s ex-directory, they just ended the call. How pleasant!
