8 yearsWARNING, TOTAL SCAM! Yesterday, my dad received a call from someone claiming to be BT. An Indian bloke on the line pretended to be from BT and somehow got access to my dad's laptop plus his online banking info. They said there was some compensation due and claimed that £7000 had been sent by accident. Before I could stop things, the guy was trying to move £7000 from my dad’s bank to American accounts. I quickly cut the internet and ended the call. Thankfully, they didn’t manage to steal anything this time. These scammers really target older, trusting folks.BT8 yearsThis woman claimed she was calling from BT Openreach but I told her I wasn’t buying it. Then she tried saying it was my issue, but I fired back saying the problem was hers since she must be up to something dodgy.
