I've had this number calling me a few times but never picked up as it’s not a number I know. I’d be wary of answering calls from numbers that seem unfamiliar. If it’s legit, they’ll leave a voicemail explaining who they are. Always make sure to get their name, the company they’re from, and an ID number before saying anything.

Initially, it appeared to be a legitimate call from BT, as they were verifying the name and address they had on file for me. They even mentioned that my number was included in their 'no more scam callers' initiative - how ironic! However, things took a turn when they began probing further, asking about my age demographic and whether I owned my home. I conceded that I did, but by that point, I was already feeling quite wary of their intentions. The woman on the line seemed to pick up on my unease and kept apologising for any 'offence' her questions may have caused. After expressing my displeasure, I decided to end the call and subsequently flagged it to BT as a potential scam.

Received a call on 20th February 2019. When I expressed my disinterest and requested not to be contacted again, the caller responded quite rudely and employed some rather harsh language.

Got a call where no one spoke, and they just hung up once I picked up. We’ve been getting lots like this all day, each from a different number that’s not local. It’s obvious these calls are dodgy because the numbers keep changing quickly, and all of them are already flagged on this site. These days, they don’t even bother chatting much. Once they start talking, I quickly realise and just end the call straight away. At least with the silent ones, it’s less of a hassle since there’s nothing to listen to!

The caller claimed to be from BT saying they'd set up a call blocker. Then they asked if it was me or my wife that lived there. I told them I suspected it was a scam, and they just ended the call.

Got a call where the guy read out my name and address right off the bat, then started asking about my age range. Felt suspicious so I asked for his main office number and he gave me 2072104854. When I asked him to repeat it, he kept tweaking one digit each time - like six different versions. Told him to hold on while I checked the number, and just as I was about to confirm, he abruptly ended the call. Totally dodgy, definitely a SCAM!

It really annoys me that the government and phone companies aren’t doing enough to stop these scams. These people are just criminals, preying on elderly and vulnerable folks to make a quick buck. They should be cracked down on properly, it’s just not on.

I got a call from this number earlier today, claiming to be from BT, supposedly for a verification process. They had a surprising amount of details regarding both my husband and me, which I found quite concerning, so I decided not to engage further. I pressed the caller for clarification on the purpose of the call, but he was rather vague and couldn’t provide a satisfactory response. The person had a pronounced male Asian accent, which made the whole thing feel even sketchier. In the end, I chose to cut the conversation short and hang up.

Got a call from this number earlier saying it was some sort of BT verification. The person seemed to know loads about me and my husband, but I didn’t say much back. I got a call from someone speaking with an Asian accent who said they’d ask me three questions. But then they went on and asked a fourth one, which annoyed me a lot. I ended up yelling at them to stop calling and slammed the phone down.

They said it was for a survey, and I was fine as long as they didn’t ask for any private info. But then they immediately wanted my address, which I didn’t give. They tried to say it was just to make sure they had the right person, but I told them if personal details aren’t meant to be shared, why does it matter? Then they just hung up. With how many scam and sales calls I get, I worry about how easily some folks could be tricked. Honestly, there should be a ban on these kinds of calls, or at least some kind of landline that works like a mobile where you can block numbers straight away.

Got a call this morning from someone asking all kinds of stuff like what brand my washing machine is and details about my house insurance. Pretty typical scam call for a Monday. The guy had an accent that sounded Asian, I think. Then he asked for my national insurance number and just ended the call after I didn’t give it to him. Not surprised at all.
