Someone rang me from this number earlier, proper pain in the arse. I kept them hanging on, pretending to look for my laptop, faffing about like I was restarting it, all that rubbish. In the end, I told them to do one. Anyone reckon they could last longer than 18 minutes without giving away any details or touching a PC before they catch on?

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be Microsoft. I know Microsoft wouldn't call me like that at all. When I asked the guy, who sounded Indian, if he thought I was daft, I just ended the call.

Got a call claiming to be from Microsoft about my PC. Knowing a mate got scammed for more than £100 by the same kind of caller last year, I wasn’t buying it! It’s crazy that these scammers still manage to fool loads of people, otherwise they’d have stopped ages ago. We really need to do our bit to stop these scammers.

This number has called me a few times, so I reported it to the local police using 101. The fraud team knows about it. If you get caught up with these con artists, they might tell you to visit their website and move your mouse to supposedly 'fix your computer.' DON’T FALL FOR IT! They’ll ask for a big payment to ‘clean’ your PC. Just hang up! Sadly, these scammers target anyone they can, so best to just ignore them completely!

Got a call this afternoon, at first I didn't trust them and told them I'd call the cops. But when they kept talking I figured maybe it was legit. Turns out it wasn’t at all, and now I’m stuck with it. My computer won’t turn on without some password they said. I’ve got loads of pics of our new baby on there too. Got two calls from this number today 01952 550666, first a bloke with an Irish accent, then another guy who sounded Indian. Both claimed to be from Microsoft, saying my PC was hacked. I asked how they knew I even had a computer. The second chap actually said my name, then told me to get my computer and read out the registration number. I asked if he thought I was daft and if giving that number would let him hack me. Told him it was a scam and ended the call straight away.

Got a call from this number just before eight this morning! Some woman with an Asian accent said my computer had an issue. I told her, are you serious, calling this early? I had pretty much the same experience. I wouldn’t give out my info until he told me who he was and what the call was about, then he said something about computers. I immediately called him a scammer and said I’d report him to the cops. That didn’t make him stop though, so I told him there aren't any computers at my place. The number shows as a Telford one, but sometimes it even shows fake numbers like 0123456789 to get past call blocking. I’ve already reported him to my local police and Telford trading standards.

Like some others here, a guy with an Asian accent rang me saying he was “calling about my windows computer.” When I asked him “why you ringing this office then?” he just mumbled something about it being an office and hung up straight away.
