Phone number ☎️ 01952550666 👆 is reported as a persistent nuisance scam number originating from outside the UK, typically claiming to be from Microsoft or Windows tech support. Callers often allege computer hacking or virus problems, demanding remote access or payment. They use high-pressure tactics, call early mornings, and may spoof local numbers to appear legitimate. Many report rude or evasive behaviour when challenged and advise against providing personal information or access, as genuine support would never initiate such calls. Victims have experienced computer lockouts or financial loss after engagement. The consensus strongly warns users to ignore, hang up immediately, not share details, and consider reporting to police or trading standards. Blocking the number and avoiding interaction are the safest responses to protect against this known scam.

Despite being registered with the telephone preference service, I received a call from this number today. Strangely enough, there was no one on the line.

Received a call from a right numpty on this number. After amusing myself by feigning interest (pretending to locate my computer, powering it up, fiddling with settings, you name it), I finally told them off. Curious to see if anyone else can top my 18-minute chat without touching a computer or giving any details before they catch on!

I received a call purporting to be from Microsoft earlier today. It's worth noting that they don’t typically reach out via phone like this. I ended the conversation rather abruptly when I queried the chap on the other end, who had a rather pronounced Indian accent, if he thought I was a fool.

Received a call claiming to be from Microsoft, supposedly regarding an issue with my computer. A mate of mine was duped out of more than £100 by these scammers last year (or a similar type of caller), so I wasn’t having any of it! It’s quite alarming how many individuals fall victim to these tricks; otherwise, they wouldn't keep at it. We ought to unite to put an end to their nonsense!

This number has called me a few times, so I reported it to the local police using 101. The fraud team knows about it. If you get caught up with these con artists, they might tell you to visit their website and move your mouse to supposedly 'fix your computer.' DON’T FALL FOR IT! They’ll ask for a big payment to ‘clean’ your PC. Just hang up! Sadly, these scammers target anyone they can, so best to just ignore them completely!

Got a call this afternoon, at first I didn't trust them and told them I'd call the cops. But when they kept talking I figured maybe it was legit. Turns out it wasn’t at all, and now I’m stuck with it. My computer won’t turn on without some password they said. I’ve got loads of pics of our new baby on there too. Can’t believe how daft I was to fall for it.

Got two calls from this number today 01952 550666, first a bloke with an Irish accent, then another guy who sounded Indian. Both claimed to be from Microsoft, saying my PC was hacked. I asked how they knew I even had a computer. The second chap actually said my name, then told me to get my computer and read out the registration number. I asked if he thought I was daft and if giving that number would let him hack me. Told him it was a scam and ended the call straight away.

This number has called me four times over the past fortnight, always between seven and eight in the morning. It's been quite bothersome, to say the least. The voice on the other end had a distinctly American twang, and on one occasion, we had a fleeting conversation about 'computer' support services and upgrades. It definitely doesn’t seem to be a local call!

Called me bright and early at twenty to eight! An Asian woman was on the line claiming there was an issue with my computer. I couldn’t help but chuckle and said, 'You must be pulling my leg at this hour!' Despite my request to be removed from their list, she went on rambling. I ended up cutting the call while she was still yattering away. I've saved the number now, so I won’t have to deal with them again!

I've been inundated with calls from individuals claiming that there's an issue with my computer, despite the fact that I don’t even own one. It's a bit baffling, really. I’m not entirely sure what sort of scam they’re running, but their persistence is rather alarming.

Received a call purporting to be from Microsoft, alleging there were issues with my computer. I instantly recognised it as a scam and mentioned that I'd be reporting it to Microsoft. They retorted, "So what’s your plan then?" I informed them that I communicate directly with Microsoft and that they never make unsolicited calls like this. At that point, they abruptly ended the conversation. It's clearly a dodgy scheme.

Got calls from nearly the same number loads of times lately, even one at 7.05 in the morning. It’s always some Asian bloke saying he’s from Microsoft and that my computer’s been hacked. I told them I don’t even own a PC anymore, then they just hung up on me. This morning I called them out as scammers and they started whining that my computer would break if I didn’t act fast. Let’s just say I didn’t hold back and I’m sure he got a lesson in English slang!

Being older, I have to rush when the phone rings, and I don’t know this number at all. If it was someone who knew me, they’d leave a message, right? They call early morning and then again later on, it’s really starting to get me upset. Surely there’s a way to put a stop to this? I do know I’m on the TPS, so why’s this happening?

I had pretty much the same experience. I wouldn’t give out my info until he told me who he was and what the call was about, then he said something about computers. I immediately called him a scammer and said I’d report him to the cops. That didn’t make him stop though, so I told him there aren't any computers at my place. The number shows as a Telford one, but sometimes it even shows fake numbers like 0123456789 to get past call blocking. I’ve already reported him to my local police and Telford trading standards.
