He called me by name and kindly asked if anyone required a panic button. Seemed like a really nice bloke. When I told him no, he simply said thanks for answering the phone.

They called me up asking about getting a panic button, and somehow they already knew my name. I just had a chuckle and ended the call. Totally a scam.

Got a call from Careline Telford today asking if I was interested in a panic button for emergencies. Bit random, not sure why they picked my number.

Got a call earlier today from an older sounding woman, she asked for me by name and wanted to know if I was interested in a panic button. Felt fishy straight away, definitely looks like one of those scam calls, just like others have said here.

I got a call from an unknown number today and just stayed quiet on the line. The person on the other end didn't say anything, then hung up. Later, I could hear someone talking faintly in the background. When I looked back at our call logs, I saw the same number had called us back in March. That time, they claimed to be from Careline and asked if we wanted a panic alarm. I told them we don't entertain cold calls. They then threatened we'd be taken off the list. Honestly, what nonsense! I've blocked this number now. Seems pretty dodgy to me. Watch out for calls like this.

Got a message from a woman calling about some panic alarm buttons, said she was contacting folks who might be interested. Talked really quick and was a bit hard to understand, but she did leave her number.

Got a call just after 6 in the evening. The moment I picked up, they hung up. Sounds like one of those automatic dial things - probably spam or a scam.

This person called trying to push some sort of alarm or panic system on me. They kept saying a neighbour suggested I check them out - total lie. I hardly got to say anything, but I just let them keep talking since I wasn’t busy. At least their time got wasted in the end!

Got a random call from some Careline company based in Telford, and they were trying to push those panic buttons on me. Weirdly, they already had my name.

Got a call asking for someone who ain’t even at this address. Then the caller just went on about offering panic buttons to ‘everyone’. They sounded really frazzled and in a hurry. Feels like either it’s some scam or the people behind it need to sort out their training and use a better script!

01952249891 It seems this Careline company is still at it, even now in 2023. They keep calling folks with the same old tricks and even using the same phone number. Honestly, I don't get what the TPS are doing about it - feels like they're completely useless when it comes to stopping these annoying calls.

I've been inundated by this organisation for nearly eight months now, with them ringing me from various numbers. They keep asking for people who don't even exist! I've already lodged a complaint with the Telephone Preference Service, and my next move will be to involve the police due to their persistent harassment. I'm also considering consulting my solicitor to discuss taking legal action against such intrusive conduct.

Got a call from an older woman claiming to be from Careline, asking straight for me. She was going on about some kind of panic alarm and I panicked straight away, thinking my elderly mother-in-law had fallen again and triggered hers (she’s recently come out of hospital with a fractured pelvis). But no, it turned out to be a bogus sales call from some care company based a hundred miles away! I’ve been on the TPS for over 15 years and never shared my details with them or given permission to get calls. I’ve since reported the whole thing to the Information Commissioner.

I got a call from careline co uk /24-7, which isn’t the real careline company by the way. A woman was on the phone trying to sell me a panic button. When I asked how they got my number, she claimed it was from some government agency. I’m on the TPS list, so I’m definitely reporting them for unsolicited sales calls.

Got a polite woman on the phone offering some kind of panic button. I immediately asked if it was a sales pitch. She said yes, so I just cut the call short. Like others, I’m signed up with TPS and have logged this call, though I’m not sure that helps. Also added the number to my call blocker. The bit that bothers me is how they have managed to get hold of my phone number, my name, and probably even my age.

My mum got a call from a really polite lady who said she was selling panic buttons for people who might fall when alone. Mum said she didn’t need one because my dad was with her all the time. The woman just said alright then, if she was sure about that.

I got a call from Careline Telford. The person on the phone gave a quick run-through of what they offer, saying they’re running some kind of awareness campaign around here. When I asked about the fees, they mentioned it would be around 40p a day or £15 monthly, which covers quick access to the Police, Ambulance, or Fire services. Since I live alone, I said I’d mull it over, and the caller told me to feel free to ring them whenever I’m ready!

Careline Shropshire called me about some "Awareness Campaign" for a safety gadget. When I asked where they got my number, they wouldn’t tell me who their data provider was. They did ring me maybe a year or two back, but they’re now saying they haven’t. They also said they only make one call to each number. By the way, I’m on the TPS, so not sure how they got my details.

I got a call from a very pleasant-sounding woman trying to sell me a panic button. I said no thanks nice and easy. Definitely a real person, not some automated voice, but still felt a bit pushy and annoying.

I’ve reported this number to the TPS because it looks like they’re targeting elderly people, who might be more likely to trust a friendly voice instead of an automated system.

Just like many others, I got a call from a really polite lady trying to sell me a panic button. I asked what the point of it was, and she stayed really friendly. At first, I actually thought she was calling from my doctor's office, so it didn’t seem like a cold call. By the way, we’re registered with the TPS as well.

Got a call from this number around 2.25pm today. The caller asked for me by name and said she was from Careline Telford. She began chatting about whether I might want a panic alarm. Since my number’s on the telephone preference list, I figured it was a dodgy sales call and ended the call straight away.

Got a call from careline, one of those sales calls asking if I wanted a panic button installed at home. The lady on the phone was really nice and friendly, but I assumed it was a disability support firm, turns out it wasn’t connected at all. bit confusing really.

I got a call from Careline Telford on 01952 249891 despite being on the telephone preference list. The woman on the phone was really pleasant and asked if I’d be interested in a panic alarm, making it sound like it was some kind of social services check. Turns out it’s actually a firm trying to sell their stuff. Honestly, I find it quite sneaky because I know my mum would’ve been far too nice to refuse and probably would’ve been talked into it by that friendly tone. Really not on at all.
