What an absolute bother! I believe the caller identified themselves as being from BT Openreach, if my memory serves me right. They were quite insistent on speaking to the head honcho of our company.

It was someone from Openreach, and they were quite persistent. Got a bit awkward when I asked why he was only asking for the two male directors. Clearly had been looking at Companies House info. Didn’t seem to realise he was actually talking to the female director!

Got a call from Robbie at Network Utilities on 01952 221300. He was quite courteous and checked if we use their cloud phone service - we’ve been using the same one for years. I mentioned we just renewed our contract, and he wasn’t pushy at all, said they might get in touch again next year. Some folks mentioned they were annoying and impolite, but I didn’t get that impression at all.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Openreach, telling me they’re shutting down all landline calls and we’d have to use the internet to make calls now. They said we’d need to switch to their new system. Kept asking loads of personal stuff like who our provider was and other details - seemed like they were just trying to fish for info.

I just got a call from them and I hung up right away because they wouldn't stop talking. They claimed they were from Network Telecom and that Openreach had visited my place, plus that they spoke to me a month ago - THAT'S NOT TRUE, so please leave me alone.

Got a call from someone saying he was from Openreach, trying to push a phone system on me with pure harrassment. Proper posh sounding older bloke but so rude ##sewipe - never let me get a word in, and everytime I tried to talk he just talked over me. Honestly, rudest caller I've ever had. Someone rang up pretending to be with Openreach, saying there were changes coming to our phone line. Then they started asking loads about our phone setup and what contract we’ve got with our provider, probably trying to pitch us a new phone deal.

Got a call on our office line from someone saying they were from Openreach and doing work on a nearby cabinet. Then they started asking how many phones were in use. Complete scammers, and honestly, they didn’t sound very believable.

My work phone rang but when I answered, there was no one there, just faint chatter in the background. They never actually ended the call, so my landline got stuck. I had to use this site to check the number, then I called them back on my mobile. They said they were from a telecom network. I told them they were messing up my phone by not hanging up properly. Spoke with Jen from support and told them to stop calling me. Seems like another scam, and my phone is still tied up since they haven’t hung up on their side.
