Got a call from Honey Legal saying they wanted to help with some kind of government scam. Turns out Honey Legal is real, but they definately dont use this number. Just another annoying cold call that should be shut down.

I rang them back using a blocked number, muting myself three times in a row, just to see how they’d react. Pretty sure they found it dull as well. It probably won’t put them off, but it cheered me up a bit.

I didn’t pick up when I looked this number up. I’ve blocked like over a hundred numbers now, can’t block any more really. I never pick up calls from unknown numbers without checking first. Like another woman mentioned, my number’s ex-directory too & I only share it with close family and mates. So, how on earth are they getting hold of these numbers?

Just to follow up on what I said earlier. I noticed the same number phoned me yesterday, but it was shown in the international format, starting with 00441948. I didn't pick up then since I was tied up. Seems like some kind of auto dialler to me, cos why else would the caller ID show different formats?

This person kept going on about whether I’d sorted paying for care, saying it wouldn’t cost me a thing now but if not, the council might try to take my house. They said they could do a free check with no strings attached. It sounded dodgy to me, but I just let them talk. In the end, they seemed to realise I’d already organised care and wasn’t interested, and finished the chat nicely. I’ve blocked the number since then.

This number and a few others have been ringing me for yonks on every phone I've had. They keep asking for a Miss Knight or maybe Miss Nitey Nite, not sure. Never actually tell me why they’re calling. They do ring up pretty regularly though.

I don't normally pick up if the number’s not familiar, but this time I did. The bloke on the other end knew my name but wouldn’t say where he got my number from. I had to keep asking which company he was with and what the call was about. Once he mentioned something about paying for care, I told him I was hanging up and ended the call. I've blocked the number now - fingers crossed they don’t ring back from somewhere else.
