Oh, ignore what I said about Mastercard and the 01948 338037 number - it might actually be legit. Someone called me but hung up as soon as my answerphone picked up, so I didn’t catch what they said. I accidentally put in that number while looking up a proper Mastercard scammer line (01978 914018). Sorry about the confusion!

Got a voicemail from some woman saying she was calling on behalf of Mastercard about a charge made just 15 minutes earlier in "another country." Problem is, I don’t even own a Mastercard. The call dropped once my answerphone picked up. Been getting loads of these types of calls lately (mostly mornings) around Feb 2020, always from different phone numbers.
