A bloke with a very English accent rang my sister a few hours back from this number. He called her by her first name and claimed he was from Barclays. He mentioned something about her Barclays account and asked if she was still living at her old address, which luckily she wasn’t. Then he said she had over £2000 coming back to her from a past employer’s pension refund. All of a sudden, the call got cut off - probably so she’d call back and end up losing her money to these muppets. Thankfully, she came over and told me about it straight away. It all sounded dodgy, and when I checked the number online, bam! Loads of warnings everywhere. If these crooks spent half as much time finding real jobs as they do on these scams, they might actually have a future. Absolute low lifes!

Total scam call. They start by using your first name and say their own, like they can't believe you don't remember them. The moment I paused or seemed unsure, they jumped straight into their usual nonsense. Took me less than a minute to catch on, then I just hung up and blocked the number. Proper annoying muppets!

Dont know who that was. Got a call on my mobile which I had set to go straight to voicemail. Been getting loads after filling out a Morrissons feedback form, thought it was legit. Had a couple of calls from a company earlier today. Picked up right away on the second ring. The chap asked if I was aware I was owed money from three banks. Told him I wasn’t, and he just said ‘that’s fine’ and ended the call. What really got me uneasy was that the banks he mentioned are ones I actually bank with, so it feels like they might have some of my info - probably loads of others too. With all the TalkTalk stuff going on, I reckon these kinds of firms should be stamped out for good.
