I think this might be one of those tech support scams. They've phoned me three times already claiming to be from my internet provider. The moment I asked them to say the name of the company, the first call just got disconnected. The second time they said it was BT, but then hung up. On the third call, they mentioned BT again, and I told them that BT isn't actually my provider, and they ended the call straight away. I've now blacklisted the number so they can't ring me again.

Total con, said they were from my internet provider’s tech support. When I asked which company, they said BT. I called them out on the lie and just ended the call. Absolute muppets.

Got a call from someone pretending to be BT, telling me my router was hacked and they’d be sending a techie to sort it out. They said I had to log into my computer first. It really felt fishy, so I just ended the call.
