I received a phone call from someone who provided an alias and purported to represent BT Openreach. He asserted that there were problems with my phone line and broadband service. As soon as I began to probe further into his claims, he became increasingly evasive and rather discourteous. His rudeness escalated to the point where he hurled a few insults at me before abruptly hanging up.

I didn’t catch the name they gave me, probably should’ve asked them to say it again. They said they were calling from BT and mentioned a problem with my phone line. Something felt off straight away, so I just told them no and ended the call.
