i've got called 9 times in the last couple days by the same scam number, all saying they're from bt. bt told me its a scam but said they couldnt help much. it's crazy, you'd think ofcom or someone would step in to block this kind of thing.

Got a call from a bloke named David, sounded like his English wasn’t great. He said he was from BT, something about their call blocking team. Kept asking loads about my visa card and wanted the expiry date too. Pretty sure it was just another dodgy scam.

This number rang me but when I answered, I didn’t say a word and there was complete silence on the other end. Looks like it’s one of those auto-dialler systems that just hangs up if no response is detected. I checked online and loads of people have reported it as annoying, so I’m marking it as harassing too. I’ve added it to my block list under the name ‘ignore3’.

I picked up and the call just cut off, but it only rang three times before that.

I picked up the phone and all I could hear was silence, no background noise or even the usual dial tone. It was dead quiet on the other end.

Some guy rang saying he was from BT and could help me stop all those annoying cold calls. His accent was so thick I struggled to catch what he was saying. Pretty sure he said his name was Anderson or something like that. Honestly, I find it hard to believe BT would hire salespeople with accents that hard to understand. He said the service was totally free.
