I got a call about a TV warranty. I told them I had two TVs (even though I don’t) and asked which one the warranty was for. The moment I did, they just ended the call. Strange behaviour, right?

I got a call from a man who claimed to be James, sounded asian, he knew my first name but not where I lived. He was pushing some kind of warranty for my tv, fridge, washing machine and stuff. Right away he was asking for my bank info and debit card digits, which set off alarm bells. As usual, I decided to mess around with him a bit. Seriously, who cold calls out of the blue, offers extended warranties on home appliances, uses a fake name and then wants your card details? Seems dodgy to me.
