Total scam, watch out!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with EE about a phone upgrade. They already knew my last name but oddly asked for my first name, which made me suspicious. I told them to ring me back in half an hour so I could verify their number. They refused, saying they had other call queues starting then. That was a total giveaway for me. I just hung up straight away! Definitely seems like a scam to me.

Can someone please hook me up with a early upgrade? Would really appreciate it!

Got a call from a number showing “EE,” but I missed it. I don’t usually get any calls from EE, so I’m guessing it might be some kind of spam or scam. Not really sure tho.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from EE, saying they wanted to offer me an upgrade, but I’m not even with EE. The bloke was really hard to understand, his speech was all muddled, so I tried to listen a bit longer before I said no thanks. Feels like this was probably a scam to me.

This number rang my son and pretended to be from EE, asking to speak to me, the account holder. They've never phoned me personally but claimed there was an early upgrade available. They've called a couple of times and promised they wouldn’t bother us again.

They called me again this week, just like last time, and the name "Virgin" showed up. Since I've been dealing with Virgin Bank not long ago, I assumed it was them at first. But then I remembered the bank uses a different phone number, and their calls never actually show their name on caller ID anyway.

Got a call from someone saying they were with EE, saying I could get an upgrade early. They couldn’t prove who they really were, so I’m pretty sure it was a scam. I just ignored it and treated it like one.

Been getting calls from the same number non stop for the last few days, like at least ten times! I'm pretty sure it's a scam, so I just ended up blocking them. They dont seem to give up easily.

I got a call from a really persistent guy with a Scouse accent, was pushing me to upgrade my EE phone and plan. He wouldn't stop bugging me to chat about it right there and then…
