I got a call from a man with a very familiar English accent saying he was from BT, warning me my internet and phone line would be disconnected in a day. The recorded message told me to press 1 to speak to their tech team, or 2 to keep with the disconnection. I tried pressing 2 a couple of times and got put through to a guy with an Asian accent in a busy call centre who claimed he was BT tech support. After that, I just ended the call. It's crazy to me that these scammers who target landlines still manage to operate without being caught or stopped.
