About 20 minutes ago, I got a call with a robotic voice claiming to be from BT, warning my internet was about to be cut off because of some third party issue. It told me to press 1 to speak with someone to sort it out! The first call showed a number 01942 893452, which is from Wigan. Then another came from 01252511837, listed as INTERNATIONAL but actually tied to Aldershot. Finally, there was a call from 001953688377. It definitely seemed like a scam to me, maybe trying to charge me through a premium rate or get remote access. Whatever it was, I’m sure it wasn’t actually BT.
