When I asked who was calling, she bluntly insisted again on speaking only to the owner. I told her I might consider it if she identified herself first. She claimed she was from BT about our internet service, but we don’t use BT. I mentioned that, but she snapped she didn’t want to talk to me, just the homeowner. I told her to stop being so rude, and she told me to ‘shut up’. I was shocked and repeated what she said, and she confirmed telling me to shut up and that I wasn’t allowed to speak like that to her. I reminded her that she called my house and was being very disrespectful, asking to speak to her manager. Unsurprisingly, she hung up. When I tried calling back, the number wasn’t recognised.
