Been getting loads of calls from this number lately. They usually say they’re from BT and keep insisting there’s some issue with my computer. When I asked what the heck BT has to do with my PC, the person just told me to ‘go forth and multiply’! Proper rude behaviour if you ask me.

Got a call from some woman abroad saying she wanted to refund money from my bank. She kept asking for my dob and which bank I’m with, said someone would ring me back. Didn’t fancy it, so I fed her fake info just to mess with them since it felt like a complete waste of my time.

It took me a good 6 rings before I picked up, only to be met with complete silence. Bit of a letdown, honestly, as I was ready to give them a proper telling off with some classic British swear words if it had been one of those scam calls.

I wasted an absurdly long time attempting to convince myself regarding my own name - the call centre was deafeningly chaotic, and then this bloke had the audacity to claim he was representing the Ministry of Justice!

Got a call from a guy who spoke with an Asian accent, there was loads of background noise like a call centre going on. He kept mentioning something about a cheque for bank fees. I knew his name and address but when he asked for my date of birth, I didn’t give it to him and he just ended the call. I’ve already reported it to the Telephone Preference Service because it seemed like a scam.

Got a call from some Asian bloke asking after my grown-up daughter who hasn't lived here for yonks. When I asked what the call was about, he got all snappy and snapped back, "What’s it got to do with you?" I told him I’m her mum. Then he said she must’ve left to get married. I said no, that’s not true, and he got really cheeky asking why she left then. Like it’s weird for a grown woman to just move out unless she’s tying the knot! This is 2016 England, women can make their own choices you know! Proper rude and patronising guy.

I've been getting incessant calls throughout the day, and every time I pick up, there's no one on the line. It's quite frustrating, especially since we're listed with the Telephone Preference Service - 01604 831528. On top of that, I’m currently caring for my husband, who is receiving palliative care at home. This is such a challenging period for us, and these unsolicited calls at all hours are really adding to the stress and anxiety we’re already facing.

I received a call from an Asian gentleman claiming to be from the Justice Department! He insisted that I had been overcharged by my bank and was entitled to a substantial refund. He asked me to confirm my date of birth and a few other details. I quickly realised it was a scam and told him he ought to be embarrassed for trying such deceitful tactics. He hung up on me quite promptly. I must say, it’s odd he didn’t hide his number!

I received a rather peculiar phone call earlier from a gentleman claiming to be Chester Fernandez, supposedly working for some Ministry of Justice Claims advisory service. He informed me that a cheque for bank charges incurred over the past two decades would be on its way to me. He provided me with his name and a reference number for the cheque. However, he then insisted I speak with his supervisor to verify everything he had said. At that point, I clearly expressed my desire to end the conversation, but he began to push back, so I decided to hang up. Quite the odd experience, to say the least!
