2 yearsI have a life insurance policy with AIG but got a call from someone claiming to be from Protect Line saying they managed my cover. She wanted to update me about my policy but insisted on getting my date of birth first. I refused to give it over the phone and told her to send me an email instead. Then she said they didn’t have my email address, which made no sense if they really handled my policy. Frustrated, I just ended the call. Shortly after I received a text from +44 7800 140050 stating: Hi, this is Alice Maclaren from Protect Line. We tried calling earlier with important updates about your life insurance policy but couldn’t reach you. We’ll call again or you can reply to this message to say when you’re free. Thanks! http://pline.uk/reviews The call sounded suspicious right from the start, especially since they claimed to be southern but the number was from Wigan - that immediately made me wary.AIGProtect LineAlice MaclarenWigan2 yearsI keep getting calls from this number, but whenever I answer, there's total silence on the other end.2 yearsTried calling but nobody picks up, feels really odd.3 yearsI keep getting calls from this number but whenever I say hello, there's no reply at all.3 yearsGot a call from someone wanting to talk about a loan application. I told them I never applied for any loan, but they insisted on checking my identity anyway (my voice sounds very much like a bloke’s). Then the caller asked if I was Katharine Buch… obviously, that’s not me at all. Could’ve been some kind of scam, but I’m not completely certain. Just thought I’d share it here in case anyone else gets the same call.Katharine BuchSubmit Your Own Report (01942 466041)
