Someone rang me up saying I'd been in a car crash and that they’d gotten my info through my insurance. Thing is, I don't have a car or any insurance to begin with! Total scam, no doubt about it.

A woman claiming to be Sarah rang me, she had an Indian accent which seemed a bit odd. She said she was calling from London but the number showed up as from Wigan. When I mentioned this, she turned quite rude. I've blocked her now!

Some bloke claiming to be Craig called me, but his strong Indian accent gave the game away straight away. When I asked him how he got hold of my details and why he was fibbing about being called Craig or living in Wigan, he lost his cool and started shouting "STOP, LISTEN TO ME". Absolutely ridiculous, I’ve never heard a genuine customer service person speak like that to anyone.

But because of covid, the car’s only been used for quick trips to the shops - barely even a mile from my house. You could tell it was a call centre with all the chatter in the background. So, I decided to mess with them a bit, calling back six times without picking up. After the last time, with a few choice words thrown in, they finally promised to stop calling me. Honestly, I’d recommend everyone tries this approach to see how it feels to get unwanted calls!

I said it’s none of their business and they’ve called the wrong place.
