I haven’t a clue who this number belongs to or what they seek, but my BT Aura answering machine remains switched on throughout the day to shield me from bothersome calls. The quality of the recorded messages is utterly dreadful, making it nearly impossible for me to understand them-especially when it's foreigners spouting off their rehearsed lines at breakneck speed! I tend to use 1471 to trace the number and return the call if it’s someone I know. There’s a certain satisfaction in realising that they have to foot the bill for their irritating telemarketing attempts. Honestly, the Caller ID feature on my phone has proven to be a wise investment.

Got a call earlier and they wanted to chat with my wife, gave me just her first name but wouldn’t share the last. Asked them nicely to take me off their list but this pushy lady from Liverpool wasn’t having it. Told her I know you’re trying to sell owt, not to get my missus, and she kept denying it. I joked asking if you’re just checking if the weather’s alright, but she was dead serious about ringing me again. Really frustrating!

Rang me twice in the space of half an hour, between ten and half ten. I picked up on the second call, and while I could hear voices on the other end, their words were completely lost on me. It would be quite nice if non-native speakers could articulate themselves a bit more clearly. I received a rather unusual call at 12:43 pm on the 23rd of February, 2015. The caller was inquiring about a loan I had supposedly taken out with Lloyds Black Horse just a week prior. I've also been inundated with calls from the number 01916719998, pressing me about an account upgrade with Lloyds TSB, which is baffling as I don’t even have an account with them, nor have I applied for any loan. It’s quite worrying to think about who might be peddling my personal information and how they obtained it in the first place. To top it off, they probed into a loan I allegedly have with another bank, questioning whether it was protected. When I answered in the affirmative, they abruptly terminated the call. It leaves you questioning the source of their information, doesn’t it?
