01942314418 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01942314418 👆 is reported as a scam number frequently used for fraudulent calls pretending to be from official bodies like HMRC or banks, threatening unauthorised money withdrawals or legal action. Callers use recorded messages prompting recipients to press keys, often leaving no message or hanging up when challenged. Many victims receive repeated calls daily, sometimes seeking random names, causing annoyance and concern as scammers seem to have access to personal details. Blocking numbers seems ineffective as scammers use spoofed or fake UK numbers generated globally. Reporting these incidents to police fraud databases and contacting MPs for stricter telecom regulations is commonly suggested. Overall, calls are persistent and annoying, with no immediate resolution but collective reporting may help reduce the problem over time.

Got a dodgy call today, sounded like a scam. The message said someone tried twice to take money from my account - once for £199 on Amazon, the other time it was like £800 sent overseas. They told me to press 1 if I wanted to approve it or press 2 to chat with someone. Obviously just hung up.

No voicemail was left, so I’m assuming it was a scam. I’ve just gone ahead and blocked the number.

Received a dodgy message claiming to be from HMRC, stating they were initiating legal proceedings against me. They urged me to hit '1' to chat with one of their representatives. Quite the scam, if you ask me!

scam alert! if you get one of these dodgy calls or messages, make sure you report it straight to the police fraud site. just search for ‘action fraud’ or head over to ‘police.uk’. there’s a section called ‘report a phishing attempt’ where you can read all the info before submitting the scam details. don’t forget to add any links or website addresses you’ve got. you don’t need to sign up or give out personal info unless you’ve actually lost money from the scam. the cops need as many reports as possible to keep track of these crooks trying to con us.

I get calls from this number pretty much every day, no clue who it is. I try picking up but end up hanging up straight away. It’s really irritating.

Been getting calls from this number for a few days in a row now, they keep asking for someone called Lorraine Smith. I've had this phone number for over 19 years and I've never gone by that name. No clue who they’re after!

No idea who this is. It called me last week, but I didn’t pick up. Checked this site and just blocked the number. They called again today though, which is a bit annoying - you’d think they’d have given up by now.

Got a call from someone I don’t recognise, but luckily my phone blocked it. Honestly, phone companies should really stop passing on our numbers, it’s about time!

This definitely seemed dodgy to me - some bloke said he was from HMRC and that they were about to take legal steps against me. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

it's really worrying that they have all my details like name, address and postcode. when i said i was going to report them to the police, she just hung up straight away. its about time someone actually tackled these calls, especially since they target vulnerable people.
