Rather dubious, that. A chap rang me claiming to be from some IT department or the other, saying my Microsoft computer had picked up a virus and he could sort it out for me. His English was hardly coherent, and he addressed me by my first name-clearly he must have snagged that from my Microsoft email. All in all, I reckon he’s just a scammer masquerading as a Microsoft employee.

Got this really annoying call out of the blue, some bloke talking about my computer having issues. Total hassle.

I missed the call and couldn't answer the phone quickly enough, but I'm not going to fret about it. It's a Wigan code, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it was the number that reached out to me. It seems like the whole system is designed to fail.
