I got a call telling me I supposedly have £1500 in ‘legal entitlements’ from a crash I had more than two years ago. They claimed they found out about it through the DVLA but couldn’t say when it took place, what car I was driving, or where it even happened. Really fishy and felt pretty dodgy to me.

This number kept calling me a few times, so I finally picked up, thinking it might be something important since it looked like a local landline. On the other end was a woman yelling into the phone, with a thick Liverpool accent. She said she was from Direct Response UK but when I asked who had given her my details, she dodged the question and started asking for my personal info. I pressed her a bit, asking why I should tell her that and what connection she had to my accident, then she just hung up on me! Seriously rude.

Got two calls within an hour today. Told the first bloke to remove my number from their list, obviously didn’t bother. Then the lady rang right after and I told her the same thing. She asked if the guy’s name was Josh and I said I had no idea. First call claimed to be from the DVLA, second one about car insurance. Both kept asking if my car had any damage. I don’t even own a car! How do they expect people to believe this rubbish? Proper fed up with it all.
